Transparent & Verifiable Off-Chain Winner Selection*

The Off-Chain Selection Process: The system to select the block reward winner is hosted off-chain to ensure efficiency and scalability, whilst remaining easily modifiable to allow for fast adjustments if necessary. As a part of the roadmap, we have the intention of moving all these pieces to be on-chain based.

The First Step - Round Creation:

• A Round is created prior to each new block. This round contains a list of all the mining-pools (holder wallets) holding Miner NFTs, the effective hashpower of each mining-pool, and a complete list of the NFT(s) each mining-pool contains.

• A number is randomly assigned to each mining-pool in the creation of a new round.

• The Range of each mining-pool is equal to their position in the list + the effective hashpower. For example, if the mining-pool gets assigned number 1 in the range and has an Effective Hashpower of 20, the range of the this mining-pool is from 1 to 20. The next mining-pool then gets assigned number 21 in this round + the effective hashpower of this mining-pool.

• The Round Summary will include a complete record of each mining-pools range for the completed round. The round summary will be publicly available at least 2 minutes before each new block is issued.

Second Step - Mine Block:

• When the time for a new block arrives, the system will receive the hash from the last block available in the Solana Blockchain.

• This hash will be converted into a number within the range of the "total range" for the round. The exact method to "convert the hash" will be public and easily replicable.

• The system will send the block number and the winner's address to the Distribution Smart Contract.

• The Block Summary is going to be publicly available as soon as the block is mined, containing the block number, block winner, the hash of the block used to generate the number, and a reference to the "Round Summary" used.

The Dashboard: The information regarding the selection process, including the total amount of mining-pools, Miner NFTs, hashpower, electricity consumption & efficiency calculations, winner selection, and reward distribution, will all be made available in a user-friendly dashboard to ensure full transparency with the Beetcoin community.

Besides the stats of each mining-pool, miners, rounds & blocks, the dashboard is going to highlight the team, fees and distribution-wallets, as well as track the amount of liquid tokens at any given time.

This transparency ensures that every participant can verify the fairness and randomness of the mining process, fostering trust and participation within the Beetcoin ecosystem.
